About Salsa Squad
We're not big into self-promotion and as you will find out at our classes, we don't take ourselves too seriously.
We still make mistakes and on occasions get left confused with right and anti-clockwise confused with clockwise!
Despite this, our classes are always filled with lots of laughter, even if if is at or own expense!
Here is a bit about the Salsa Squad Team...
Paul has been dancing Salsa for 10 years, teaches Salsa full time and this year was nominated for Best UK Salsa Teacher at the UK Salsa Congress (we think his Mum nominated him!). His other passion is boxing for which he has 25 fights under his belt. Paul is also a qualified Performance Coach and uses many of these learned skills to help students bring the best out in their dancing. He says 'My goal is to make things easy for people to learn, to have lots of fun and for people to go home thinking 'I got it!'' |

Stuart was one of Salsa Squads very first students and he has since progressed to being one of the busiest teachers in the area. He has the knack of being able to turn complete non-dancers into budding Salseras. His other passion is Rugby and you can still see him putting in huge tackles as he captains his Cheltenham North side every Saturday. It is true to say that Stuart has one of the most effective side step on the pitch, an attribute he picked up from perfecting the Rumba Step! |

Meet Nina, Salsa Squads Glamorous Assistant and Original Squadette. Nina has been classically trained in dance since the age of three. She looks after the 'First Timers' easing them into their all important first Salsa Class. She also teaches the beginners and Improvers at Butlers in Gloucester. |
Alan teaches the Beginners at Christos on a Monday Night. He has a very relaxed and welcoming style that puts everyone at ease straight away. He has a Harley Davidson hidden away in his garage which we are all waiting for him to turn up to class on! |
Chris is our regular Beginners teacher at The Study on Fridays. For Chris it is all about giving people a good time during their all important first few classes. He always keeps an eye out for people getting things right this made easier since his recent laser eye surgery! |
Pete and T are Guest Teachers at The Study. Their classes are always lots of fun and they are always up for dancing with everyone after the class. |
Our very important Squadettes help with the running of the evening. They are Kelly, Chrissy, Natalie, Lorna and Anna, what would we do without them! |
But the most important members of Salsa Squad are the hundreds of people who come along every week to join in the fun. Without you there would be no us, so thank you all for your support. |
